Does notion use your data?
Notion uses TLS everywhere, within the data center and out. Your data is encrypted at rest and in transit. We run 100% on the cloud using AWS within a virtual private network that cannot be accessed via the public internet, except via our public-facing proxy servers.
Does notion work offline?
Notion does work offline, but not amazingly. The major issue with Notion offline comes when you haven't preloaded the pages, in that case, you won't be able to access them. Also, some updates made while offline don't always get synchronized.
Does notion use a lot of RAM?
Notion is a productivity app that has taken the world by storm ever since the pandemic hit. Perhaps surprisingly, it does run on the Electron framework. If you need to use it heavily every day, it can get slow and buggy, particularly when dealing with long documents with lots of embedded content.
How do I get Notion back online?
If you need to access certain pages when you go offline, open the pages you want while you're still online and keep them open. This will allow Notion to cache the pages for offline editing. We'll sync all changes you make across your devices when you go back online.
Is notion actually good?
Notion is one of the most popular and flexible tools. It's an all-in-one productivity solution and it's simply one of the best tools I've ever used. Notion is incredibly flexible. It can be a writing repository, task management software, a workout calendar, a database, and so much more.
Is notion free to use?
Notion is free to use indefinitely. The Personal Plan is completely free for individual use. The Team Plan has a free trial with a 1,000 block limit, more than enough to try out Notion with your team before upgrading.
What can I do with the notion app?
The app’s community has built a broad range of templates highlighting potential uses: creating to-dos, keeping a journal, storing recipes, making a list of books to read, or publishing simple websites through a tool that allows you to make Notion pages public.
Do you need an internet connection to use notion?
The developers of Notion say it does. On a Windows PC, the app does not load without an internet connection. To access anything online you must leave the pages open (that means not closing the application at all) when you’re online. The app caches the page for offline editing.
Why are there no variables in notion database?
The first odd thing you’ll notice is that since Notion acts as a database, it doesn’t have variables, you can’t access an individual cell. This makes calculations like financial modeling and local variables (i.e. a variable that applies to just one row) very challenging.
What kind of data can you use in notion?
Here are some of the data types you can use in tables: If you want to see the power of Notion’s tables in action, check out our GTD video (queued to 15:26): 12. Manipulating Tables with “Views” As if tables weren’t good enough, you can take the data and present it in different views while applying sorting and filtering.
