I LOVE to test things, and my new Cricut Maker Engraving Tool is no exception. I wanted to know what materials we can engrave! The Cricut Maker engraving tool is supposed to work with soft metals, acrylics, plastics, and leathers, so we found as many different types of these materials to test as possible!

Engraving tip is sharp! Use caution when handling. To mitigate wear, the tool will lift and rotate for several seconds periodically during engraving. This is normal.

Do you need a quickswap for a Cricut Maker?

When using stiff materials, use your hands to gently support the machine mat during the loading and engraving process. Engraving Tip is compatible with Cricut Maker only and requires a QuickSwap Housing. As you load the tool into the machine, do not press the button on top of the housing. Doing so may cause the tip to release.
